French Pear

Pink Peony

What is the burn time of your candles?

Our custom candles have an average burn time of around 20 hours.

Tip: Trimming your wick to around 5mm before each lighting can improve the burn time significantly.

Do you use natural or synthetic fragrances?

We use a combination of pure, natural, essential oils and fragrances.

There are natural and synthetic oils and fragrances that are toxic.

Likewise, there are natural and synthetic oils and fragrances that are deemed safe.

Unfortunately, many candles contain synthetic fragrances that contain toxins that are BAD for you and the environment. These are listed on the Proposition 65 List.

Our candles use a combination of natural and synthetic oils and fragrances that are known to be safe.

Unlike many candle makers, we will not use fragrances found on the Proposition 65 list.

What kind of wax do you use in your candles?

Our candles are made with 100% Pure, sustainably sourced Soy Wax.

How can I stop my candle from "tunnelling"?

"Tunnelling" is primarily caused by either using a wick that it to small for the candle vessel/jar, not allowing the candle to burn fully before blowing it out, or a combination of both.

Our candle wicks are carefully chosen to avoid "tunnelling" so the only potential cause with our candles is extinguishing the candle early, not allowing it to burn fully.

This simply means that to avoid tunnelling, you have to leave your candle burning until the top surface of the wax has melted fully.

If the candle has only been burning a short time before being extinguished and the top surface of the candle is only partially melted (liquid centre with solid wax still at the edges), this can lead to tunnelling.

This is true for all candles, not just ours.

If you trim your wicks, and allow a full burn, your candle will last very well and make your home or workplace smell amazing.
