A Gap in the market...
We have always loved candles but found that many candle companies use wax and fragrance oils that contain toxins.
They also often use scents or fragrances that on their own could be considered boring or plain.
When starting Wild Essentials, we decided to handcraft our own range of luxury candles by blending complimentary fragrances that reminded us of the wild beauty of nature.
Why...
Because nature is an amazing healer.
Our luxury candles are designed to bring the healing scents of nature into your home or living space to help you reconnect with nature.
The problem we solve...
Our candles are better...it's a fact.
We use clean burning, sustainably sourced, soy wax. We don't add colour to the wax like some other companies because these colours usually contain toxins.
Our candles have an amazing scent throw and none of our base fragrances and essential oils are on the naughty list!
Also, our candles are not "boring" or "plain."
Instead, we handcraft our candles and develop the candle scents "in house" by blending "clean", complimentary fragrance oils and essentials oils.
This means that we are able to bring the scents of nature into your home to help you relax and unwind or even evoke cherished memories.
Our candles are Vegan friendly, and both toxin and cruelty free.
Ultimately, your health and wellbeing is important to us!
How we do it...
We handcraft our luxury candles using our own "in house" blends of fragrance oils and essentials oils.
The reason we draw on inspiration from nature is because the natural world is such a healing place for people, us included!
Nature is where we as human beings belong, and so maintaining a connection with nature benefits us massively.
The sights and smells of nature can help us to heal on a soul level.
It helps if we are "off the grid" in nature to avoid the lack of distractions that constantly divert our attention such as emails, texts & calls, and social media updates.

Who we are...
Wild Essentials is a family owned business based in Foxton, New Zealand.
Jamie is the visionary and the driving force. She loves the creativity that Wild Essentials allows her to express.
Jamie's husband Jeremy is the builder and he does a lot of the behind the scenes work to make sure everything works as it should.
Their personalities complement one another, making them a great team.
They have two amazing children together and love spending time outdoors. They both believe that nature and the outdoors is a great place to decompress and heal on a deeper level.

I'm Jamie, the heart and soul behind Wild Essentials...
I handcraft luxury candles to help you find peace, joy, and balance amidst the chaos of modern life.
Having navigated the chaos of raising children, pursuing a career in teaching and management, and running a successful skincare business, I intimately understand the toll that stress and burnout can take on your mind and body.
In my own journey, I hit a breaking point in my late 30s, despite appearing to have it all together on the surface.
Overwhelmed by fatigue, aches, headaches, and panic attacks, I realised that my body and soul were crying out for relief.
I turned to the power of essential oils and aromatherapy, drawing on my knowledge and passion for these natural remedies.
By creating unique scents, inspired by nature, I rediscovered a sense of calm, joy, and balance.
The transformative impact was profound. My panic attacks ceased, my energy levels surged. I felt revitalised and whole again.
From this journey of healing and discovery, Wild Essentials was born.
Jeremy...
I'm Jeremy and I help to make sure that Jamie can focus on what she does best...creating beautiful, luxury candles.
So, I work in the background designing labels, sourcing materials, website design and pretty much anything else that Jamie needs help with.
Spending time in nature helps ground me and clear my head so I try to get out for "me time" in the outdoors as often as I can.
I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, and most recently, have found a lot of enjoyment in sailing. I have a small trimaran that is great fun and I've even started building a small boat.
I always feel better after spending time outdoors so I know that the benefits of being in nature are real.
So, I know that Jamie's amazing candles, that bring the scents of nature indoors, can help reduce stress levels and leave you feeling great.
